Imaging Center at Pelham
The Imaging Center at Pelham offers the latest in advanced digital imaging technology in a convenient outpatient setting.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Angiography (MRI/MRA)
Our latest development is extended hours for MR imaging (MRI). MRI now has extended hours, with the final appointment being at 6:45 p.m.
MRI is a non-invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions using a powerful magnetic field, radio frequency pulses and a computer to produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, bones and virtually all other internal body structures.
Detailed MR images allow physicians to better evaluate various parts of the body and certain diseases that may not be assessed adequately with other imaging methods.
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine is a branch of medicine that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose or treat a variety of diseases.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging involves exposing part of the body to high-frequency sound waves. Because ultrasound images are captured in real time, they can show the structure of the body’s internal organs as well as the blood flowing through blood vessels.
Bone densitometry scanning (DXA) is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to measure bone loss.
Computed tomography (CT scan)
CT scans combine special x-ray equipment with sophisticated computers to produce multiple images of the inside of the body, including bones and blood vessels.
Digital Mammography
As an extension of the Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health, the Village at Pelham offers the same high-quality digital mammography services. The MammoPad means minimal discomfort for your mammogram.
Same-day appointments are usually available. For an appointment, call 864-849-9399.
