Comprehensive Pain Management Center
Walking around with chronic pain, when it is not effectively treated or relieved, can potentially affect your entire quality of life. It can interfere with healing, change your lifestyle and impact your relationships and job. Sleep may even become a near impossibility.
Fortunately, you don’t have to suffer any longer. The Village Hospital’s Comprehensive Pain Management Center can help improve the quality of your life by minimizing your pain.
Through the combined expertise of a multidisciplinary team of specialists, the Comprehensive Pain Management Center offers pain management options for patients with acute and chronic pain. Our comprehensive offerings may involve a number of different treatments, including medications, exercise, physical therapy and surgery. We prefer to begin with the least invasive treatments available and progress to more interventional techniques as needed.
Painful Conditions
The center has been designed to provide patients with diagnosis and treatment for various pain disorders in an outpatient setting. These pain disorders vary from acute to chronic; their location: headaches, neck, low back and extremity pain; to fibromyalgia, cancer related or even secondary to other conditions such as diabetes. We also take referrals for physical and occupational therapy and pain psychology. Comprehensive treatment plans are individualized for each patient and his or her disorder. Treatments often include:
- Interventions, both diagnostic and therapeutic
- Injections
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Implants such as spinal cord stimulators or intrathecal pumps, or kyphoplasties for spinal fractures
- Medications
- Surgical referral
